Most shops except credit cards and there are many ATM banking machines throughout towns. Montenegro uses the Euro as currency.
Montenegro has a surprisingly consistent weather pattern for a country of its size. The high season for tourism runs from May until September - at the height of the summer season July and August the main coastal resorts in Montenegro can get fairly busy. From our experience the best time to visit would be either side of this summer peak: May, June and September stand out, when it's not too hot, too crowded or overbooked anywhere. The ski season runs from December until March, with January and February providing the best sport.
